Party Your Halloween Stylishly - SugarSkull

Halloween is just a week plus away!
Have you gotten any ideas what is going to be your get-up for this Halloween?
"Oh my goodness! I have got no special costume for that day! I totally sucks at creative make-up! I don't have the proper costume make-up kit!"You don't wish to dress skimpily like the other girls.

Fret not!
I'm here to help you.

The get-up I'm in for these post is really simple and super wearable!
The kind of "face" I drew was actually called SugarSkull. 
It can be sweet, dark and elegant depending on the colour you chose to use and the designs you drew. For more ideas, go Google it.



I drew my own face with cosmetic products which I believe every girl would have in their make-up pouch. 

For make-up, all you need are:
1 - Foundation (Be it liquid or powder)
2 - Black eyeliner
3 - Black and white eye shadow
4 - Red lipstick
5 - Diamantes (Purely optional)

See! All you need are these!

Go Google on the kind of SugarSkull face which you want for your Halloween.
Just to let you know,  I actually used white eyeshadow on top on my foundation to give me that pale look. It looks perfect! And don't forget your neck area!

For the stitched-mouth, I first draw in the lines with my black eyeliner and then go over it with black shadow. This is to give that bit of smudged up look.

For the Eye Socket area, I first draw an outline with a brown pencil before filling it in.
Because I didn't want to fill it in with black eyeliner, I fill it in with black eyeshadow.
But do take note! Dampen your brush a bit first before you go picking up that black on your palette.
The reason being is, this way, the black eyeshadow colour would be more intense rather than patches. This applies the same for your nose.

And if you like to, you can actually paste Diamantes to bling up the whole look.

For dressing:
1 - Black leather jacket
2 - Black leather leggings

If you have a Yukata lying around in your house, you can pair this look with it too.

For hair:
I did a faux mohawk hairstyle.
My first attempt, not too bad I must say. LOL!



It is really really simple to do. There, I have provided you the video of the tutorial below.



For accessories:
I didn't use much. Only a wooden cross and a hairpin to deco my hair.

And then there you go!
Now you can party your Halloween night stylishly!

The best part? It cost you nothing!
Not too much effort but you still look great!

My First Experience At Landscape Photographing

Aloha! I'm back!

I know I have been gone for like 10 days and hence, I'm going to do one long post to make it up. LoL!

In my previous post where I blogged about my Keloid Removal, its surgery wounds are healing up pretty well. Got to head to the Doctor's to remove the stitches.

Anyway, I did something out of the norm a few weeks back.

Usually, I would be the one who is standing in front of the camera, but! I was behind the camera for a change.

With guidance from Mike, Brian and LPW, I took a shot at Landscape Photographing.

The photos were taken at MBS (Marina Bay Sands) and Esplanade whereby they had this I-Light happening. They had Light Exhibits over at Marina Floating Bay.

This is my first time at it, hence, my photos might not be up to your standards. Plus, the photos are edited with Photoscape since I'm not good with Adobe Photoshop. Please don't feel too disappointed with my work. 

Here it goes!

The I-Light at MBS was spectacular.

The photos look somewhat similar as I was trying to capture its animations.

I love the rays of light to bits!

Without some help, I doubt I would not be able to capture these beautiful moments.

I have to admit that it is pretty different taking landscape photography from portraits (I have tried once with a model).

One can request that a model to stay still with the consistent lighting or lighting all properly set up. But with landscape, no way are you going to get that perfect lighting and that's where knowledge of photography comes into good use. I don't know if I am making any good sense here, but that was what in my mind.

That, unfortunately is what I was lacking of. With guidance, I did a lot of trials and errors.

Brian tried one way of taking photo and I tried it too. 

The results are interesting and no 2 photos will ever look the same.

This effect gives the extra "oomph" to the photo. You get what I mean.

That kind of effect which you totally don't have to Photoshop for.

This Helix Bridge is one of my favourite shots.

With the same technique, look at what results I have gotten from this seemingly-normal Light Exhibit (Marina Floating Bay).

I love how the lights from the buildings are being "pulled" too.

This somehow reminds me of  Razor.

It amuses me how funny the results can turn out, looking all ridiculous.

There was another light exhibit over at Marina Floating Bay.

"Neon-men" would light up in co-ordination with the music provided..

There's a story behind each sequence. Very Artsy-Fartsy.

I love this shot of the "Neon-Men" the most!

All in all, it was a great experience!

You Know It Better Yourself

I believe everybody has been in a situation where quarrels are consistent yet still love each other, in fact, some might have even accepted it as part of their lives.


But nobody loves quarreling or fighting right?
So why still cling on to that drama-rama-ish relationship?



It is because you know all that fightings and shoutings are nothing. You know that you can fight it off or eventually laugh it off. Fights over petty issues aren't gonna break you heart. Hence, you are able to tolerate all that nonsensical arguments. Besides, you can't possibly stay angry forever.


In your heart, you know you guys can fight over anything under the sun but not because of a third party, and that is what all matters. You trust that your partner is not going to cause a quarrel over a third party.


Yes, I have had my heart broken 3 times because of blatant lies, taking my trust for granted and broken promises (all over a girl). I just couldn't understand why they did just that. Oh ya, and one common point, me and each of them seldom quarrel. When we have a huge fight, it's over some girls.


I couldn't emphasize any stronger how much a broken trust can affect me.
I have repeated a few times in my age old posts.


Hence, I prefer fighting and quarreling with him whom I know I can trust, to loving someone with no or little arguments but whom I can't trust.


After all, it is easier to calm yourself down than to mend a broken heart.

Sorry that you have to put up with the angsty me at times

Making A Bike From Lighters

Hello everybody!

Recently I saw someone posting photos of lighter bikes (basically a tiny bike made out of 2 lighters).
As a bike lover and someone who loves to build stuffs, of course I went to make one myself too!

It wasn't that hard to make one but I was having problems disassembling the lighters.

I even tried adding some redundant parts to make it look nicer because I found the one taught from the video above look a bit "empty". I even added in foot-rests!

I have spent quite a bit of time thinking, measuring, cutting and sticking the extra parts not taught in the video.
Such a pity that the silver fire holder was not of a good shape. 

All in all, I guess I took about 2 hours plus. It was my first try so no choice la! Lol!

Get ready the great revelation!

Ta-dah!

It's my first try so the glue marks and scratch marks are inevitable.

But at least it is still quite decent looking! Hehe.

The finished product is small really.
I have placed it against a lighter for a size comparison.

I'm so proud of my work! =D

The Brain & The Heart

Once again I am caught in between the two.
I really have no idea as to listen to which one.

The Brain says that I should take no risk, be a puppet no more.
The Heart says "If he doesn't love you the way you want him to, it doesn't mean that he doesn't love you with all he has".

The last time I listened to my heart, I regretted as I'm headstrong.
