The Girl Who Isn't As Frail As You Thought She Would Be |
Boo-ya!
Had this real impromptu shoot after a Runaway Bride shoot at Sentosa about two weeks ago.
And I haven't had any sleep for like 24 hours.
I think the theme was thought of at the very last minute too, but nevertheless, it still turn out great!

Bryan suggested a theme like "Samurai Warrior" as depicted in one of the mangas.
I started googling about Onna Musha which is Female Samurai in English, and found one website which provided a good decent load of information.
"From the website "Defensive Weapons of the Japanese Samurai" comes the following paragraph:
"Women from Samurai families were often trained to defend themselves with a rather extraordinary concealed weapon peculiar to their gender. When dressed formally, Japanese women usually wore one or more long pins, called kansashi, hidden in their hair. Kansashi were approximately six inches long and primarily served to keep a woman's long hair up and in place. The pins were also quite capable of piercing an attacker's chest or throat in an emergency."
Samurai women rarely took to the battlefield, but they were responsible primarily for the defence of the home and children. Like their men-folk, personal homour was paramount, and they were also prepared to die in defence on the honour of the family. As such, Samuarai women carried small daggers.
Other weapons used by female Samurai were the naginata (used at close range similar to a halberd), the kaiken (knife or dagger), and the bow and arrow. The kaiken had a secondary use - women, especially court women, used the kaien to perform jigai (ritual suicide by slashing of the throat).
Another role of Samurai women was the washing and preparation of the decapitated heads of the enemy. These were then presented to the victorious Samurai generals."

It was then the Army Theme.
I thought that no pimples would come visiting me if I were to wash the camo off right after the shoot.
But I was so freaking wrong! An evil pimple decided to appear on my chin which I totally conquered it with Nixoderm. Muahaha!
VICTORY IN MY HANDS! *throws confetti and pops champagne*
Actually, I did thought of joining the Navy (not for the desk-bound work) and asked my mummy if she would mind. Apparently she doesn't mind.
But I figured that I would probably just die there. I would probably fare poorly with my skins and bones. My sensitive skin would just get to my nerves, imagine a trip down to Sentosa beach is enough for me to have rashes over my legs and arms.
They were like saying how my face turned out be cute looking instead of fierce with camo on and Leon decided to edit my face. >.<
Be who you want to be.
Don't be the one whom others thought of you to be.
Do you like guys who can cook? |
There's a difference between guys who can cook and guys who can cook for me. I like guys who can cook for me and with me. (。◕‿◕。)

You Know It Better Yourself |
I believe everybody has been in a situation where quarrels are consistent yet still love each other, in fact, some might have even accepted it as part of their lives.
But nobody loves quarreling or fighting right?
So why still cling on to that drama-rama-ish relationship?
It is because you know all that fightings and shoutings are nothing. You know that you can fight it off or eventually laugh it off. Fights over petty issues aren't gonna break you heart. Hence, you are able to tolerate all that nonsensical arguments. Besides, you can't possibly stay angry forever.
In your heart, you know you guys can fight over anything under the sun but not because of a third party, and that is what all matters. You trust that your partner is not going to cause a quarrel over a third party.
Yes, I have had my heart broken 3 times because of blatant lies, taking my trust for granted and broken promises (all over a girl). I just couldn't understand why they did just that. Oh ya, and one common point, me and each of them seldom quarrel. When we have a huge fight, it's over some girls.
I couldn't emphasize any stronger how much a broken trust can affect me.
I have repeated a few times in my age old posts.
Hence, I prefer fighting and quarreling with him whom I know I can trust, to loving someone with no or little arguments but whom I can't trust.
After all, it is easier to calm yourself down than to mend a broken heart.
Sorry that you have to put up with the angsty me at times

A Day For Girlie BF |
Met up with my girlies on the 19th Feb to celebrate our beloved girl, BF's birthday.
Her birthday falls on the 17th.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Ok. We had like one and a half round of Mahjong before heading down for dinner.
Birthday girl wanted BBQ stingray unfortunately there isn't any so will just have to make do with normal Zi Char.
WR and her signature pose
Photobomber spotted!
Looking all happy while making her wishes. Hehe~
Basically, BF is all smiles in every photos!
One lazy worm cozy-ing herself on the bed
PRESSIE TIME!
Can tell that she was genuinely happy with her pressie XD
One cute thing she did was placing her present on her lap instead of the bed or floor, while continuing the Mahjong.
First thing that came to my mind was "You scared got cockroach seek for a hiding place in it?" with that evil laughter in my head. *Accompanied with evil eyebrow*
But obviously she did that not because of the ridiculous reason I have made up in my mind la.
Versace perfume for the lady
After that, it was back to Mahjong while watching Transformers.
I was smiling while typing the entree.
I guess it really feels good to think back how much happiness the smiles from friends can give.
Though this celebration was not a fancy one, but everyone was happy.

What if a stranger comes up to you and ask you take a picture with him, would you? |
Yes if that stranger would ask me nicely. But then again, i don't think anyone would come up to me randomly and ask for a picture together. =)

Dare to Dream |
As a kid, I used to dream a lot.
I dream that I would become Leonardo Da Vinci or Einstein as I'm more inclined towards Arts and Science. Both of them are my idols, even up till now.
I dream of being a great artist.
FYI, I have never thrown any drawings of mine away. Some of them are as old as 10 years! Good gracious. It is a good thing that silverfish didn't start infesting.
I dream that I would have a huge backyard just for my pets, bringing home strays.
I want to let abandoned animals feel loved and cared for.
I dream of being a great female rider.
I guess my most absurd dream would be owning a pet or creating one just like Doraemon.
When we were kids, we thought anything which we dream of would be achievable.
However as we grow older, we realize how certain things are unrealistic and hard to achieve.
That is when we start to let go of our dreams.
But dreams are what keep us motivated and alive.
You have not heard that a "zombie" dream, didn't you?
It is okay to dream your wildest dream.
It is okay if you can't live by your dream.
But at least try to work towards your dream.
Dreams sometimes can also be our comfort and bring us away from the harsh reality.
Take my absurd dream of owning a Doraemon for instance.
I don't have a Doraemon which can give me whatever I asked for, but I have my pets to give me their attention and listening ears.
In a way, they are like Doraemon. They listen and I can seek comfort in them.
For dreams which are not attainable, maybe you should start looking closely around you.
Perhaps, there are some things that resembles your dream but you have never noticed it.

Making A Bike From Lighters |
Hello everybody!
Recently I saw someone posting photos of lighter bikes (basically a tiny bike made out of 2 lighters).
As a bike lover and someone who loves to build stuffs, of course I went to make one myself too!
It wasn't that hard to make one but I was having problems disassembling the lighters.

I even tried adding some redundant parts to make it look nicer because I found the one taught from the video above look a bit "empty". I even added in foot-rests!
I have spent quite a bit of time thinking, measuring, cutting and sticking the extra parts not taught in the video.
Such a pity that the silver fire holder was not of a good shape.

All in all, I guess I took about 2 hours plus. It was my first try so no choice la! Lol!
Get ready the great revelation!

Ta-dah!
It's my first try so the glue marks and scratch marks are inevitable.
But at least it is still quite decent looking! Hehe.
The finished product is small really.
I have placed it against a lighter for a size comparison.

I'm so proud of my work! =D
